ABOUT CHRIS

Chris Ruigrok, owner of CARFAB, has been in the automotive racing industry for over 20 years. Getting an early start to his career with Terry Van Rossum, previous owner of VR Automotive in Owens Sound, as an apprentice in auto body, Chris worked on custom street rod projects. Moving his focus to racing, Chris shifted gears and moved to Georgian Bay Motorsports under direction of owner Mike Kuznicki. In his early years at Georgian Bay Motorsports, Chris was in charge of fabrication and preparation of a Canada Challenge Cup GT Camaro. From there they went on to Trans Am SCCA racing in a Georgian Bay built Corvette. Partnerships with GM Performance Division brought on the work of Chevrolet Cobalts and Camaros within the Rolex Grand Am and Koni Challenge Racing Series. Personally, Chris has experienced success as owner and driver at his local home track of Sauble Speedway in the form of 3 Season Championships, rookie of the Year, and Most Sportsmanlike. He also has placed third in his Chumpcar joint owned car. Building cars as well as providing on-track services, mentoring and parts sales to local racers have all been an integral part of Chris' continued success with CARFAB Motorsports.
